Greg
Wolfond
Greg's expertise and
entrepreneurial skills are deeply rooted as the founder of Footprint
Software Inc., a financial software company which he started in
1983 and later sold to IBM in 1995. Greg was also the founder of 724
Solutions Inc. a wireless software infrastructure provider which he took
public in 2000, as well as authentication solution provider SecureKey Technologies Inc.
and innovative chip and device developer Kili Technology Corporation.
Greg sits on numerous boards and holds the 1994 award for Canada's Best Managed Private
Company for Footprint Software, the 1995 award for Canada's
top 40 under 40, 1995 Finalist Entrepreneur of the Year and in 2000
was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University
of Western Ontario, Deans List and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Life Sciences from
the University of Toronto.
Jaime Shapiro
Jaime brings to Blue Sky 20 years of experience
as an executive, venture investor, and strategic advisor. Jaime is active in all aspects of Blue Sky's
investment activity, sits on several boards and provides ongoing strategic and operational
support to portfolio companies.
Earlier in his career, Jaime served as VP Corporate Development for 724 Solutions Inc.,
where he led the firm's M&A and equity investment functions, and advised leading banks
and insurance companies as a member of A.T. Kearney's NYC-based
Financial Institutions Group.
Jaime graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied
Mathematics from Harvard University, and earned an MBA from The Wharton
School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was recognized as a Palmer Scholar.
